Baby Clothes
Organic cotton is the surest choice for baby clothes. Organic wool is warm and wonderfully moisture wicking, but not always as soft and cuddling as cotton. Thankfully today there are a number of companies making everything from onesies to little party dresses out of organic cotton.
Toys
I'm guessing that your child doesn't reach for much of anything without promptly popping it into his or her little mouth. But whether the found object ends up there or not, it will still be close enough to your baby for him or her to breathe in any toxic fumes it may be emitting.
Most toys today are plastic and brightly colored, and involve some sort of mechanism that makes them spin or sing. But sometimes simple is better. In all honesty, your baby would probably be just as happy playing with an empty toilet paper tube.
